Year Of The Horse

    <lj:music>Brand New - "Handcuffs"</lj:music>

The horse personality is often willing to give as well as expect a lot of liberty. These people are extremely independent and confident. The horse person is very quick-witted, inquisitive and determined. They are very good at recognizing patterns: she or he is on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. In general, these people are gifted. They adore being the center of everyone's attention, but they prefer to be recognized for their skills and are easily flattered. On the other hand these people have an honesty and genuine warmth which attracts lots of people and helps them make new friends. People as a rule confide in a horse person because he/she is sincerely interested in their thoughts and feelings and is able to help with both wise words and an action, but there is a small problem about it - the horse person is so excited by new discoveries that it is difficult for them to keep a secret. This is not something that arises out of malice or revenge - sometimes they just cannot help themselves.

It is easy to inspire such a person by new ideas and he/she tends to act on them without delay, carried away by the excitement of the moment. But it is also important to remember that there is a danger for a horse person to be too impulsive and it may cause some problems in the future. And if they do not see the result of their efforts, it is rather natural for them to turn their attention to a new project and head off once again, brimming with new ideas. The horse person is always ready to offer good advice and can be very persuasive, but his/her confident and carefree approach hides inner doubts. Those who know such a person will recognize this, and offer the support and reassurance he/she needs. Males born under the year of the Horse are considered charming and attractive to members of the opposite sex(LULZ).

Horses should beware of the Rat, as any relationship with this sign is said to be extremely trying for the horse. Of all relationships between Chinese zodiac signs, a relationship between a rat and a horse is said to be the worst. The rat may just be too calculating, dictatorial and possessive for the free-spirited and independent horse. A relationship with a rat can potentially break down the horse's free-spirit and cause rage in the rat - as neither will be willing to yield to the other. Rats and Horses will attract each other like no other. Male Horses, especially, will find the female Rat irresistible, though they always bring out the worst in each other. Horses do get along great with Tigers, Sheep and Dogs.

Possible professions for people that are born on the year of the horse are that of a journalist, engineer, architect, a writer or novelist, an actor or a model.

Positive Traits: Lovable, enthusiastic, independent, intelligent, creative, optimistic, strong, assertive, talkative, talented, cheerful, active, eloquent, adventurous, versatile, playful, light-hearted, lively, free-spirit, original, quirky

Negative Traits: Anxious, fickle, defiant, tactless, selfish, gullible, inconsistent, quick-tempered, rebellious, changeability, rash, impatient, overly talkative, childish, too-playful, not serious enough, low-attention-span, eccentric

Wow, an actual post.

Many thoughts. Everyone has dreams, right? I don't mean like getting married or starting a family. Anyone can do that. It's like I've heard Justin say (actually I'm 110 percent sure he stole it from a comedian but that's ok)

"You ever been to K-Mart and seen that three hundred pound chick wearing sweat pants and a Tweety Bird shirt? They always have like three kids. So someone had sex with and potentially married that"

So starting a family is easy. (Raising a family and being good at it is an entirely different story). The dreams I'm talking about are profession related. How many people are actually living out their dreams? Be it as an artist, a musician, athlete, or what have you? Not many. Those dreams are hard to reach but I have to imagine would be infinitely satisfying.

If you think it's my goal in life to work at Circuit City for the rest of my life then you are gravely mistaken. This has become job #107 that I enjoyed for a few months but can no longer stand. Every day I have to be there is a bad one. If I really, really, really put myself to it I'm sure I could move up in position. But I don't want to. I CAN'T. It's not what I want to do. I physically could not, for any amount of money. My heart is not there. Soon, I'll have another job. A few months later I'll have another. It goes in a circle.

So as my 25th birthday is a little under three months and I'm beginning to wonder if it's too late to reach any dreams I may have had for myself. WHAT is the point of life if you aren't doing what you truly want? WHAT is the point of going through the motions?

Well, I saw Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween today. Pretty decent. Although a few scene's suffer from what I call "Zombie dialogue", which is each is in each of his movies. Zombie dialouge are lines that are way too harsh, cruel, or sexual..nothing wrong with that..in moderation..Rob seems to like to push it to the extreme, hammering the points in. He doesn't seem to believe in the word subtle.

Like, Micheal Myers' sister says something about him jerking off a rat and then begins to go through the motions, complete with moaning, in front of the entire family. ..It's just..too unrealistic. I know he was trying to show how his family life was horrible but jeezum crow. Or when the chick who took over Jamie Lee Curtis' role is talking about her teacher molesting her (jokingly). She's all "Oh, yes mom, my teacher did touch me!". Again, complete with moaning and putting two bagels in front of her boobs. In front of her mom and dad. ..Who the fuck would do that in front of their parents?

Anyway, Zombie dialogue aside, it gave Michael Myers a much needed back story, which he didn't have in the original. Filled out a few plot holes (in the original, how the fuck would he know how to drive if he's been in a nut home since age 6?). Gave Dr.Loomis a purpose other popping up and saying "Micheal Myyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahs!". Left in some iconic scenes but also left a few out. I prefer the ending to the original than the remake. The subtle ways he killed people were also better in the original, but again, Rob Zombie has never heard this word. The overall look of the movie was pretty cool too, as were some of the death scenes.

Oh. Yeah. It also has a quick cameo from Micky Dolenz of the Monkies. He's old, fat, wears a cowboy hat and says "fuckin'". ..Surreal. NO HAMMING. THIS IS A NO HAM ZONE. CHECK YOUR HAM AT THE DOOR.

Ok, so The Transformer movie sucked just as I thought it would. I only went because a friend of mine couldn't get anyone to go with her (and with good reason)

-The entire thing is almost a bad comedy. Seriously, EVERY character is supposed to be funny. None of them are remotely serious until the last half hour. You've just been bombarding me with horrible one liners and NOW I'm suddenly supposed to take you seriously/care if you live or die?

-There is a scene where The Autobots are outside that douche bag kid from Even Stevens house while they search for a pair of glasses. This is the most agonizing scene I have ever witnessed in a movie. It just goes on..and on..and ooooooooooooooooooooon.

-Optimus Prime saying "my bad". ...Just...no.

-Who the FUCK picked the Decepticons?! Barricade? Blackout? Bonecrusher? Frenzy?(Not Rumble but FRENZY?!). Could they have been more obscure? No Soundwave?

-Starscream, being my favorite Decepticon, looking like utter shit.

Do not see this movie. Maybe I'm too critical because I grew watching the cartoon..regardless..DO NOT see this movie. See the old, cool, very 80's animated one instead.
